MOTHER WORKER ANIMAL LOVER
” I’d love to go on social rides with other parents for play dates or picnics.”
1. What is your occupation?
I am a student in the final stages of obtaining my teaching certification in all-level music. I teach private lessons on French horn here in Hutto.
2. Use 3 words to describe who you are?
Mother. Worker. Animal Lover
3. How long have you been riding a bike?
On and off my whole life. My dad taught me by having me ride through the grass in the back yard.
4. Do you ride for recreation, transportation, or both?
Recreation more than transportation, but I would love to ride for transportation more often if it were easier to do so.
5. What do you enjoy most about cycling?
Getting to be outside and enjoy nature, being able to do something physical that isn’t too demanding and that is pleasant.
6. What would you love to see for bicyclists in Hutto?
I would like to connect with other casual cyclists and go biking together. I would like to see bike lanes or at least more pathways connecting more neighborhoods so that biking is safer and connects neighborhoods to downtown better. I would like to see a local cycling community where we can buy/sell/trade gear or help each other with tune ups, get involved with or create local rides for charities, tricks and tips, etc.
7. Anything more to add?
I have a little pull-behind for my daughter and I’d love to go on social rides with other parents for play dates or picnics. Right now we just ride in our neighborhood, but I’d love to get out and see what else there is in our great town of Hutto!

The Community of Cyclists Campaign is an effort by Bike Hutto to show the wide variety of people in Hutto that bike. The campaign will promote the fact that there is no one “type” of person who rides a bicycle. They are our friends, our neighbors, our students, and our colleagues. It is always best to put a face to the name, whether you’re talking about bike safety, future bike infrastructure, or social events. Hutto is about community.
