“When riding you notice things that you don’t when you are in a car and you get to have a more personal interaction with people that you pass by.”
1. What is your occupation?
Mom and Photographer (wedding and commercial)
2. Use 3 words to describe who you are?
Outgoing, Friendly, Caring
3. How long have you been riding a bike?
My whole life! I have the scars on my knees to prove it. I was a tomboy growing up and lived in the country in Louisiana. I was on my bike almost every day.
4. Do you ride for recreation, transportation, or both?
Recreation although I do bike to Hutto Elementary with my 1st grader, Corban.
5. What do you enjoy most about cycling?
Being outside! And when riding, you notice things that you don’t when you are in a car and you get to have a more personal interaction with people that you pass by. I like hearing “Hellos” and “Good Mornings.”
6. What would you love to see for bicyclists in Hutto?
More bike paths that connect across the town.
7. Anything more to add?
I think it would be fun to do a bike scavenger hunt. You have to bike to different places and take crazy photos with different things all around. That would be a blast!

The Community of Cyclists Campaign is an effort by Bike Hutto to show the wide variety of people in Hutto that bike. The campaign will promote the fact that there is no one “type” of person who rides a bicycle. They are our friends, our neighbors, our students, and our colleagues. It is always best to put a face to the name, whether you’re talking about bike safety, future bike infrastructure, or social events. Hutto is about community.
